We aren’t done yet. One of the most interesting WWE stories over the last ten months has been Roman Reigns, who has dominated the SmackDown landscape. Reigns won the Universal Title on August 30 and there is nothing to suggest that he is slowing down anytime soon. One of the biggest problem is that Reigns is running out of challengers, but someone seems to have his eyes set on the title.

This week on Talking Smack, Kevin Owens called Paul Heyman, who was not hosting the show as usual. Owens told Heyman not to hang up and promised to win the Money In The Bank contract and come after Reigns. He also said that there was nothing Heyman or Reigns could do about it. Owens qualified for Money In The Bank after defeating Sami Zayn in a Last Man Standing match on this week’s SmackDown.

Owens has challenged Reigns during his time with the title, including a pair of pay per view matches. Reigns defeated Owens in a Tables Ladders And Chairs match at the pay per view of the same name in 2020, in a cage match on the Christmas night SmackDown and in a Last Man Standing match at the 2021 Royal Rumble. Owens has never won the Money In The Bank ladder match.

Owens has come close before. Check out his matches with Reigns:
