What we’ve all been waiting for. One of the most difficult things for professional wrestling during the COVID-19 pandemic has been the lack of fans at their live events. However, it would seem that AEW is attempting to change that with their Double or Nothing 2021 pay-per-view event.

Tony Khan appeared on Sirius’s Busted Open Radio this morning and made the announcement that AEW’s upcoming pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing, will take place on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from Daly’s Place in Jacksonville and that the show will feature fans at a 100% capacity. This will be the first major professional wrestling event to do this since March of 2020.

You can see the announcement below, in which Khan says “I expect to be at full capacity, outdoors, for Double or Nothing based on what a lot of other sports have done.”:

According to a report from Wrestling Inc., AEW will make Double Or Nothing a weekend event as there will be a non-televised show on Friday night, and then a Fan Fest on Saturday. Tickets for Double Or Nothing should be announced soon. The outdoor amphitheater at Daily’s Place holds 5,500 people.
