What could have been. We are a few weeks removed from WrestleMania 37 and the fallout period is in full swing. Now that the show is over, there are some things to look back on as WrestleMania tends to be the most analyzed and discussed wrestling show of the year. That can make for some interesting topics, including what didn’t happen. Now we know why one teased spot never came to pass.

During the build to WrestleMania 37, Kevin Owens said that he wanted to jump off of the pirate ship set in Raymond James Stadium. The ship was part of the WrestleMania set as well, with WWE themes included. Owens did not jump off of the set during or after his match with Sami Zayn, and according to Fightful Select, it was due to the ship being much higher than anticipated. Once the bad weather set in, the idea was completely dropped.

Weather was a problem throughout WrestleMania, including on the first night when a thunderstorm caused a forty minute delay to the start of the show. There had never been such a delay in the history of WrestleMania until this year. Wrestlers slipped multiple times, including Mandy Rose on her way to the ring during the Tag Team Turmoil match. The wind also caused some damage to the set during the day.

This was a problem. Check out the set and what the rain caused:
