Keep them going. There have been all kinds of changes taking place behind the scenes lately in WWE and some of them are going to make quite the shakeups. Some of these are going to involve some fairly familiar names, many of whom are in rather important roles. That is the case with one of the other moves, which will see an on-camera personality in a bigger role backstage.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Adam Pearce has been promoted to the position of Director Of Live Events. This position involves running events on the road, which would suggest that WWE is continuing to get ready for a return to touring. Pearce would be in charge of both creative and lineups for the shows and will be doing the same at the current WWE television events. There is nothing to suggest that Pearce will be leaving his role on television.

The role was previously held by Michael Hayes, who has been moving over to more hands on work with talent. This includes producing angles and promos for Roman Reigns on SmackDown, along with other main events. There is nothing to suggest that this is a demotion for Hayes, but rather moving him to another position. In addition to Pearce’s new role, he will still be working as a producer as well as overseeing other producers.

Opinion: This is another interesting change and I’m curious to see what it is going to mean. Above all else, it suggests that WWE is going to be moving forward towards getting back to normal and that is a great thing to hear. WWE has not been on the road regularly in over a year so hopefully everything can start to get back to the way things work, as it has taken a toll on the company.

Hayes moving over to more of a producer role is interesting as well and it is great to see what kind of success he can have. Above all else, it makes sense to have someone with his experience and success out there working with someone else. Reigns has been incredible as of late and I’m curious to see what else Hayes can do. The talent is there too, but my goodness it is amazing to see what great coaching can get out of them.
