Pack your bags? While they might not be as popular as they have been in the past, WWE is still the biggest and most powerful wrestling company in the world. They are also the most international, as their programming is seen around the world and, when the Coronavirus pandemic is not a factor, WWE presents shows in several countries every year. One of them gets more attention than others though and that might be starting up again.

Back in 2018, WWE entered into a ten year deal with Saudi Arabia for a series of paid shows in the country. The shows have been rather controversial to say the least, mainly due to the country’s issues with human rights. WWE has not received the best coverage as a result but the amount of money they are making seems to make up for it. We might be seeing some of that bad coverage coming back again though.

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, two sources said that a Saudi Arabia event is on the table by the end of the year. WWE is scheduled to run two events in the country every year but the Coronavirus pandemic prevented last year’s events from taking place. There is no word on when the show would take place this year. The most recent event, Super Showdown 2020, took place in February 2020.

The shows have been hit and miss. Check out how some of them have gone down:
