The March 4th episode of AEW Dynamite was a strong go-home show heading into AEW Revolution. From the moment that Shaq emerged from the tunnel, it felt like we were getting a match that should have been on an AEW Pay-Per-View. The big news came a little later in the night when Paul Wight made his debut and said a “Hall of Fame-worthy” signing was taking place at Sunday’s PPV. As anticipation builds for that signing, here are some names that I think will be introduced in that spot.

5. CM Punk

CM Punk is one wrestler that everyone wants to see return to the ring because of the level that he uses to wrestle at. In a recent interview, CM Punk named some AEW wrestlers that he would be interested in wrestling. The names included Jungle Boy, Will Hobbs, Ricky Starks, and others. CM Punk being in AEW would be a huge signing because he could help push the younger talent and bring more eyes to AEW. CM Punk returning now is something that could change the landscape of professional wrestling.

4. Jay White

When it comes to Jay White, he should be considered among the best in the business. It would be crazy to see Jay White appear at the end of the Omega and Moxley match and stare down at the winner of the match. Jay White has been making news lately for ripping AEW/Impact wrestling Bullet Club reunion storyline. Jay White showing up would set the wrestling world on fire because the original Bullet Club vs. the new Bullet Club would be an interesting storyline that could create some buzz for AEW.

3. Ethan Page

The last time we saw Ethan Page was at Impact Wrestling Hard to Kill event, where he killed off his character, which wasn’t received well by Ethan himself and fans. Page started on the Independent wrestling scene in 2013, where he worked for PWG and Evolve. Ethan Page would then work a couple of shows before Ring of Honor before signing with Impact Wrestling. AEW will soon be launching a second show, and they need the younger talent to help push the show page would be a huge signing for AEW. When it comes to mid-card it seems like AEW could be pushing the wrestlers there better. AEW should consider creating their own United States title and 3-way Tag titles so that wrestlers can have something to do.

2. Thea Trinidad (Zelina Vega)

Thea Trinidad was released from the WWE after she broke the company’s guidelines concerning the third-party business. Since that day, many fans have been wondering where she will wrestle next. AEW would make a good home for Thea because she would bring that star power that AEW needs. Thea Trinidad has a lot of experience in the ring, which could help the younger women in the AEW Women’s division a lot. AEW should be focusing more on their women’s division in 2021, and by signing Thea, that could be a considerable signing that gives the women’s division new energy.

1. Brock Lesnar

AEW signing Brock Lesnar could be good and bad depending on the booking. The former WWE champion is considered the biggest draw in professional wrestling today. Brock was paid very well in WWE, which made him the highest-paid WWE superstar. Tony Khan has the money to offer Brock more than what the WWE was paying him.

It would be amazing to see a Kenny Vs. Brock match, but AEW would have to be careful because someone like Brock could come in and take a younger wrestler’s spot. It is important that AEW doesn’t make the same mistakes WCW did in the 90s by signing Wrestlers who were stars in the WWE. AEW should be focused on creating homegrown talent so that in the future, they already have go-to stars when wrestlers like Y2J, Sting, and Wight do finally retire.
