The Miz took himself out of the WWE title Elimination Chamber match at the 2021 edition of the Elimination Chamber PPV. His reasoning? The Money in the Bank briefcase he won from Otis entitles him to a championship match at a time of his choosing.
He chose Feb. 21, moments after the main event.
But first, he had a meeting with Hurt Business’ MVP.
That led to Bobby Lashley attacking Drew McIntyre as soon as the Chamber structure was raised. McIntyre had already entered the Chamber third, outlasted five former champions, and pinned AJ Styles to retain.
The Lashley beat down left the big Scot laid out, and prime for a cash-in. He had enough left in the tank to kick out of one Skull Crushing Finale, but a second put him down for three.
The Miz is your WWE champion, and you have to figure he promised The Hurt Business a title shot in exchange for their help. Can The A-Lister be trusted? Does WWE want to get the belt on Lashley so Drew can aim for revenge the weekend of April 10 & 11 in Tampa?
We’ll look for those answers on the road to WrestleMania 37.
