The Undertaker Comments on His Issues with Current Era WWE Product & Wrestlers

A recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast had The Undertaker as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Undertaker’s thoughts on if he still watches wrestling and his issues with the current era of wrestlers in WWE.

“I try. It’s tough right now, for me, because the product has changed so much. It’s kinda soft. I’ll probably piss a lot of people off but they need to hear it. To the young guys, ‘oh, he’s a bitter old guy.’ I’m not bitter, I did my time. I walked away. I just think the product is a little soft. There are guys here and there who have an edge to them, but there’s too much pretty and not enough edge.

They’re trying to put something out for everybody. Some guys are into the comedy shit and other guys want to see more hardcore fighting. One of the big things that happened is the generation before, we all got old at the same time. There weren’t enough guys to work with the young guys. I can give my theories on what you should do, but until you can get in the ring and do it, it doesn’t translate. Then, you also have too many people who are like, ‘these guys on the Internet so I’m good.’ Okay, well, you can listen to them or you can listen to somebody who has been there and done it. There was not enough merging of the young and the new talent. When it was me, Steve Austin, Triple H, The Rock, Shawn Michaels we were working together and making money, then we just aged out and it left young guys working with young guys and the product changed.”

Jason Jordan Reportedly Currently Working on Potential WWE In-Ring Return

A recent episode of WWE’s The Bump show had Chad Gable as a guest. One of the topics discussed included Gable revealing that Jason Jordan is currently working towards a potential in-ring return in the future for WWE.

“Jason was such a big part of life [and] my journey to being successful in WWE. Who’s to say if I would’ve ever even gotten a start in NXT or the main roster if it wasn’t for Jason? I just feel so fortunate that we meshed together so well. He’s another one of those guys like Otis that our mentalities are just so similar and we just resonate on the same levels when it comes to everything, I think it bled through in our tag team and that’s why the cohesiveness was always there.

Just speaking from a personal standpoint, he became one of my best friends throughout the process and still is. It’s unfortunate what happened with his injury, but you never say never. He’s working on it, he’s trying to get back, and who knows? A reunion is always something that I would never be against.”

NXT’s Women Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Update

As noted before, WWE recently released the full list of teams and bracket for NXT’s inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. One notable omission from the tournament was the team of Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

Fightful Select reported (via WrestleTalk) that the reason for Duke’s omission from the tournament is due to her currently transitioning into becoming a full-time content creator for WWE’s UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. It was reported that Duke was a full-time streamer when she was hired by WWE and prefers this role than wrestling during the coronavirus pandemic.

It was also reported that NXT officials always had plans for Sharir to compete in the tournament and with someone else as her tag team partner.
